About Me

My name is Mehmet Dereli, and I love making video games. While I am currently still enrolled at the Technical University of Munich as an M.Sc. Computer Science: Game Engineering student, I am making my own games, be it at the university or at game jams.
I hope you find some interest in the games that I made and share the same joy that I had while making them!

Why video games?

Ever since I was a child, I loved playing video games. The first game that I remember playing is Pilot Wings 64. While I had no idea what I was doing, I remember the joy that the game sparked within me.
That joy led me to create my very first own game in high school, where I first started to learn programming. Even tough the game was pretty awful in hindsight, I loved every moment of developing it. The satisfaction of successfully adding a new feature and slowly approaching my vision of the games, was a very different joy from the one of playing a game. This made me realize that there is so much more interesting to discover about video games and I knew that I would never get tired of neither playing nor developing games.
